Music is the common thread the Lord gave us that just ties everything together so beautifully. It speaks to our hearts, it allows us to express our feelings, it engages us in real spiritual interaction, and it unifies us as His body – such a rich and wonderful gift from our Father!
At COS, the Lord has blessed us with an abundance of musically gifted people! We currently have four areas where those who are gifted and/or called can “plug in” and use what the Lord has given them to bless others:
Our praise team currently consists of about 25 singers and musicians who lead worship on a rotating basis for Sunday morning and various special services.
This is really part of the Levite team, but covers the technology aspect of our Sunday worship experience. It includes running our soundboard and operating the video projection systems. We currently have 7 people who serve in audio and video.

We have seasonal choirs that come together at least twice per year – around Christmas and Easter. We sing musicals for the church, but also typically go to area prisons, homeless centers, and other places to sing and share the gospel. We also join the Levites during those times of the year to help in leading congregational worship. The choirs typically consist of anywhere from about 25 to 35 members.
The children meet on Wednesday nights and/or Sunday mornings to sing together. We teach them special music and encourage them to sing for the congregation on a regular basis during Sunday morning services. The number of participants varies, but praise the Lord, it’s continually growing.
If you would have an interest in being a part of any of these teams or just want more information, please feel free to contact Pastor Will.
